DAVIS, Calif. – Mahir Khurana won a pair of extra matches and Alex Bergomi won one for Santa Clara men's tennis on the second day of the Aggie Invitational on Saturday.  

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

• In the main draw, the Broncos dropped both their quarterfinal matches in the singles blue flight.  Freshman Alex Bergomi took the first set against Vraj Patel of Pacific before losing 2-6, 6-4, 7-5 while Tiago Boschmans also dropped a three-setter, 4-6, 7-5, 7-6 (7-3) against UC Davis' Nadaul Cheam.
• Khurana and Bergomi took advantage of their opportunities playing in the extra matches.  
• Khurana beat Pacific's Hasith Gummurulu 6-0, 6-4 and took down Nevada's Nicholas Recoura 3-6, 7-6 (7-5), 1-0 (10-6).  
• Bergomi handled Nevada's Ibrahim Snoussi 6-4, 6-1.
