Rowings Add Riccardo Bouehi as Assistant Coach

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara rowing has added Riccardo Bouehi as an assistant coach for the men's and women's teams. Bouehi has more than 15 years of rowing experience as an athlete and coach.

"Riccardo brings a wealth of experience as an international rowing student-athlete from Italy," said director of rowing Jay Farwell. "He attended Drexel University and most recently served as an assistant coach with the Drexel rowing program. Riccardo is a passionate, dedicated, and energetic coach, and I am excited about the enthusiasm and perspective he will bring to our program."

While at Drexel, the Dragons were named Team of the Year and the staff was recognized as an IRCA Staff of the Year Finalist. He recently competed his M.S. in Strategic and Digital Communication.

He also has coaching experience at the club and developmental level, including with Canottieri Varese and Canottieri San Cristoforo, in Italy

Prior to rowing at Drexel, Bouehi rowed for the University of Milan in Milan, Italy.

Bouehi has competed internationally for Côte d'Ivoire and has raced at 10 World Rowing events, including two continental Olympic qualification regattas.

Before Drexel, he attended Liceo "Sereni" Luino in Luino, Varese where he was a multiple sport athlete, competing in rowing, swimming, and basket. Bouhei was a three-time African Champion. He also holds the Italian ERG Marathon record and captured 10 Italian Championships medals.
