AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2003: Saw action in 12 contests... netted two goals and three assists on the season... posted two scores against Cal Maritime.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2002: Saw action in 36 matches... scored two goals and tallied five steals... scored a goal in the fourth overtime against Whittier that lead to the Broncos' 8-7 victory on Sept. 14... other goal of the season was against Air Force on Sept. 8.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Chadwick High School in Palos Verdes, Calif., under coach Bryan Weaver... helped team to the 2000 California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section Division VI semifinals... named first-team All-CIF in 2001... also lettered in soccer and swimming.

PERSONAL: Full name is Michael Alexander Vancura... born August 15, 1983 in Torrance, Calif... parents are Chris and Pat Vancura... has one older brother John... major is psychology.
