AT SANTA CLARA: Completed her four years as a Bronco in 2023 … Finished her career with a 34-52 record while playing at all five spots in the line-up … Made the WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention three times along with making Silver Honors in the WCC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
AS A SENIOR (2023): In her final season, she finished with the most wins in her career, going 19-15 … The 19 wins were tied for the second most on the team … She played at the No. 3, 4, and 5 positions, finding the most success at the four slot with a final record of 17-11 … She was paired with four different partners, but finished 16-10 with Jordan Bennett … They held the second highest wins as a pair on the team … One significant win proved to be against #18 Pepperdine where the duo beat Gracey Campbell and Gabriella Perez 21-17, 14-21, 15-13 (Mar. 26).
AS A JUNIOR (2022): In her third season, she found seven wins while playing at the No. 3, 4, and 5 spots … Partnering with Elena Radeff, Alexie Epstein, Sophia Tulina and Alexia Inman, she found three wins with both Tulino and Inman … In the first home game of the season, she and Tulino clinched the first ever home win against Saint Mary’s (Apr. 12) with scores of 21-19, 21-17 at the four slot … Also clinched and upset, SMC at the WCC Championship (Apr. 30) partnered with Inman with scores of 15-21, 21-17, 15-13.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2021): Played in all 12 games of the shortened season with Kathryn Decker … This pair played the majority at the one slot … Found wins over Pacific (Apr. 8), USF (Apr. 9), and Sacramento State (Apr. 17).
AS A FRESHMAN (2020): Played in all 14 duals and went 5-9 overall, with the most wins, going 5-3 on court four … Partnered with Brynn Paumen for a 3-7 record, with Julia Sangiacomo for a 2-1 record, and with Kamaile Manol for a 0-1 record … Achieved a straight-set victory against Pacific on March 4 on court four with Brynn Paumen, contributing to the Broncos' 3-2 dual victory, the first in program history on the Mission campus … Also won in straight sets against Cal State Bakersfield on March 7 on court four with Brynn Paumen, helping the Broncos secure a 3-2 dual victory at the Big West/WCC Challenge … Additionally, won a three-set match against Sacramento State on March 7 on court four with Brynn Paumen, aiding the Broncos in a 4-1 dual victory at the Big West/WCC Challenge.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Archbishop Murphy High School (Everett, Washington) in 2019 … Four-year letterwinner in volleyball for the Wildcats and served as team captain as a senior in 2018 … Received the 2019 Scholar Athlete Award, the 2019 Terry Ennis Our Lady of Victory Award, and the 2019 United States Army Reserve National Scholar/Athlete Award … In 2018, she earned Class 2A All-State Honorable Mention along with making the All-District First Team … Was a two-time First Team All-WesCo 2A/3A selection (2017, 2018), and was named to the Everett Herald All-Area Team twice (2017, 2018) … Named team MVP in both 2017 and 2018, and received Honorable Mention All-WesCo 2A/3A in 2015 and 2016 … Contributed to two 1A/2A Cascade Volleyball District Championships (2015, 2016) and helped the team achieve 3rd place at the 2A State in 2016 and 6th place in 2015 … Played club at Seattle Juniors … Additionally, played softball and ran track & field for the Wildcats, helping break the school record in the 4x100-meter relay.
GET TO KNOW CLAIRE: She is a fourth-generation Bronco, having her parents, grandfather, and great-grandpa attend Santa Clara, along with many more cousins and relatives … Her father, Pat Doud, played football at Santa Clara and holds the record for tackles … Her mother, Maggie, rowed on the women’s rowing team for the Broncos … Lastly, her grandfather, Phil Bannan, played football and rugby while at Santa Clara.
