AT SANTA CLARA: Skale joined the Broncos for the 2024 season and played in five matches all at the No. 2 spot ... Holds a 1-6 record overall after playing in two matches as a sophomore.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2025): Played in two matches at the No. 1 spot going 0-2 overall ... Recorded her only win of the season in an exhibition macth against #9 Cal with partner Sveva Munneke 21-18, 22-20.
AS A FRESHMAN (2023-24): In her first year as a Bronco, she holds a 1-4 overall record … She made her collegiate debut at #19 Arizona while partnered with Hailey Benesz … Recording the first win of her career was March 22 against Arizona Christian University … Her and Benesz won with a score of 21-19, 21-10.
HIGH SCHOOL: As a graduate from the John Burroughs School in Ladue, Missouri, Skale found a spot on the All-District Honorable Mention team for high school indoor volleyball in 2021 and 2022 … She completed her senior year on the First-Team All-District in 2023 … Skale was also a four year member of the Academic All-State team in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 … For beach volleyball, she was a BVNE AA Rated Player and qualified for AVP and USAV Beach National Championships from 2019-2023 … She also qualified for the AAU Junior Olympics in 2022 and 2023 … In 2022 Skale won the silver division of the AVP East Coast Championships.
GET TO KNOW ELLIE: Ellie is a marketing major and retail studies minor and her hobbies and extra-curriculars include photography for SCU Media, being a business teacher’s assistant, photo/video editing, swimming, and NIL/social media. Her mother, Christina, was a swimmer at the University of Illinois, and her father, Marc, played water polo at the University of Illinois.Â
