Ashley Broughton, MS, ATC, LAT, was hired in August 2019 and is in her seventh year at Santa Clara primarily working with men's and women's cross country/track & field.

Broughton comes to Santa Clara from Missouri Baptist University, located in St. Louis, Mo. She traveled to St. Louis in 2013 for a graduate assistant position with primary coverage over men’s basketball, men’s tennis, women’s track & field/Cross Country, and Softball. She was promoted to full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer in 2014 with primary coverage over men’s basketball and football. During this tenure, she also earned her Master of Science degree in Sports Management in 2015.

Prior to joining the MBU staff, Broughton worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer for T.A.P.E Pros Sports Medicine Services in Southern California. She also spent a year working with the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks.

Broughton is a 2011 graduate of Long Beach State, where she earned her B.S. in Athletic Training. At Long Beach State, she worked largely with women’s basketball and men’s and women’s track & field, in addition to many other sports at various satellite locations.

She is a Southern California native currently residing in Hayward. She is an avid fan of the Los Angeles Lakers and enjoys spending time at the beach with family and friends.
