Caine Purnell is entering his second season as Santa Clara Men's Basketball's Director, Video & Analytics in 2026-27. It is his fourth season with the team as a whole having spent two years with the Broncos as a graduate assistant in 2023-24 and 2024-25.Â
Purnell previously was a basketball operations assistant for the Illawarra Hawks of the Australian National Basketball League in 2022-23. He also served as an international scout for ID Prospects for two years.
A native of Sydney, Australia, Purnell graduated from Macquarie University in Sydney with a bachelor of laws in 2022. He received his Master's in Educational Leadership from Santa Clara in 2025. Â
