Julia is a San Diego native who joins the Broncos after being recruited by Wave Volleyball to play indoor volleyball at Fairfield University, where she graduated with degrees in Communication and Spanish. While at Fairfield, she helped lead her team to the MAAC Championship in 2019 and 2021, competing in the NCAA Tournament in both years. After her graduation from Fairfield, Julia played a year of indoor volleyball in Spain while teaching English as a foreign language.Â
Julia has spent time coaching for Wave Beach and Indoor, and has as worked with ICN athletics sand volleyball in the adaptive community. "I’m excited to be on staff alongside two passionate pioneers of beach volleyball, building a strong culture of grit, support, and competition," Gallen said about the opportunity of joining the Bronco's staff.Â
Kallen enjoys playing piano, listening to music, and doing yoga in her free time.
