Justin Rojo is in his ninth season as an assistant athletics director of sports medicine at Santa Clara, serving as the primary medical contact for men's soccer and women's golf. Along with this role, he serves as the primary coordinator for all clinical immersion experiences for both internships and athletic training students for the sports medicine department. As the clinical immersion coordinator and primary clinical preceptor, he establishes and coordinates full clinical immersion opportunities for MSAT programs across the country.

During March 2019, Rojo served as an assistant director of medical services for the first and second rounds of the 2019 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament.

Rojo graduated in May '17 with a Masters degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in athletic training from San Jose State University. In addition to his education, he currently holds multiple credentials in the field of sports medicine. Some of these credentials and training include: Certified Athletic Trainer (BOC), Instructor for First- Aid/CPR/AED (PROTraining), Corrective Exercise Specialist and Performance Enhancement Specialist (National Academy of Sports Medicine), Blood Flow Restriction training (Owens Recovery Science), and Structure and Function Dry Needling (SDFN1).

He spent two years working as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at SJSU with the men’s soccer and women’s tennis teams. He also assisted with women’s soccer, baseball, and men’s basketball teams. Rojo is a graduate of Rowan University in Southern New Jersey where he received his Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training degree.

A Ewing, N.J., native, Rojo graduated from Ewing High School. He currently resides in Santa Clara and enjoys backpacking, hiking, snowboarding and being an overzealous Philadelphia Eagles fan.
