Matt Steward is entering his fourth year as the Associate Athletic Director, Media Relations at Santa Clara University, and his fifth year with the Broncos overall. In addition to his duties as the department's media relations liaison, he currently serves as the primary media relations contact for the Broncos' men's basketball, and men's and women's golf programs.

Steward first joined the SCU Athletics media relations staff in November 2021. Prior to that, he worked as an assistant director of media relations under Lawrence Fan at San Jose State since 2018. 

A native of Weaver Ala., Steward first came to the Bay Area by way of Auburn University where he served as both an undergraduate student assistant and communications assistant from 2014-18. 

Steward graduated from Auburn with a bachelor's degree in communication in 2017. He currently resides in Sunnyvale with his wife, Dalena.
