Rachel Shull was hired in February 2024 and is in her second year as Associate Athletics Director, Sports Medicine.
Shull joined the Santa Clara Broncos with over 10 years of work experience within Intercollegiate Athletics. She graduated with her Master’s degree in Kinesiology and Rehabilitative Science from the University of Hawaii where her clinical experience with women’s volleyball and football created a working passion for Division I athletics. She developed quickly into the Head Athletic Trainer position at Holy Names University in Oakland as she covered both women’s soccer and softball.
Previous West Coast Conference stints at both Saint Mary's and San Francisco have provided her a variety of working experience both as a certified athletic trainer and as an administrator. The previous five seasons at USF working alongside the women’s soccer program and serving as the Interim Senior Women’s Administrator will prove useful in assisting the Broncos’ Sports Medicine Department with continued success.
Shull welcomed her first child, Kaleo, in May with her partner, Marissa. She is an avid pet lover and dog mom to a husky, Booker. In her free time she enjoys coffee dates and food adventures, shooting hoops and DIY projects.
