Dr. Riley Gee (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and former Div. I volleyball player at UC Irvine. Born and raised in Southern California, she grew up playing club volleyball before going on to UCI where she earned a B.A. in Psychology and Social Behavior with a minor in Education while serving as a team captain for the women’s volleyball team.

Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Gee continued her academic journey at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in San Diego, CA. There, she earned her Master's degree in Psychology and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology while also gaining valuable experience as a coach for club and high school volleyball teams.

Throughout her graduate education and training, Dr. Gee focused on sport psychology and the intersection of mental health and athletic performance. Since 2018, she has operated a private practice focused on providing mental health services to athletes, students, and working professionals.

Practicing as a clinician for over a decade, Dr. Gee has worked in a variety of treatment settings, but her time spent in university counseling centers has been particularly influential. She completed both her pre- and post-doctoral training at Stanford University's Counseling and Psychological Services, where she also worked as a Staff Psychologist for the past five years. While at Stanford, Dr. Gee served as the liaison to Intramural and Club Sports, offering outreach programs, workshops, and individual counseling services to club athletes and teams.

Drawing on her personal experience as an athlete and her training as a psychologist, Dr. Gee aims to help individuals thrive both on and off the court.
