Staci Gustafson serves as Deputy Director of Athletics and Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) at Santa Clara University, where she provides senior leadership and strategic oversight for external operations, facilities and operations, and the administration of the department’s 22 Division I programs.
Now in her 20th year with Santa Clara Athletics, Gustafson has held progressive leadership roles within the department since joining in 2007. Previously, she served as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations, overseeing academics, sports medicine, sports performance, and multiple athletic programs. Throughout her Santa Clara tenure, she has led initiatives spanning student-athlete development, sport administration, facilities and operations, capital projects, organizational planning, and cross-campus collaboration. She also serves on various West Coast Conference and university committees.
Gustafson began her collegiate athletics career as a volleyball student-athlete at the University of Colorado before joining the coaching staff at the University of Florida (1995-1999) and the University of Nebraska (2000-2003). At Nebraska, she was a part of the 2000 NCAA Championship team.
A San Jose native and former St. Francis High School standout, Gustafson earned her communication degree from Colorado in 1995. She and her husband, Jon, have two sons, Luke and Jake.
