Big Monday Sold Out

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - If you haven't purchased tickets to the classic Big Monday matchup between Santa Clara and Gonzaga at the Leavey Center, you are out of luck.

The SCU athletic ticket office officially announced a sellout today for the January 9 West Coast Conference contest that will be televised live at 9 p.m. by ESPN2. Approximately 20 percent of the seats in the 4,500-seat Leavey Center are reserved for members of the school's Ruff Riders spirit organization while the remaining tickets were sold through season packages and individual sales.

Santa Clara completes its non-conference season this week when it hosts the 39th annual Cable Car Classic. Tonight, the Broncos play UC Riverside at 6 p.m., while Boston University and Bucknell square-off in the nightcap at approximately 8 p.m. The consolation game is scheduled for tomorrow night at 6 p.m. followed by the championship game.

The Broncos open WCC play on Saturday, Jan 7 when they host the University of Portland in a 7 p.m. tipoff in the Leavey Center.
