DAVIS, Calif. – The No. 15-ranked UC Davis women's water polo team beat Santa Clara 10-3 on the final day of the 2011 Aggie Shootout at the Schaal Aquatics Center Sunday.
Santa Clara (8-11; 5-3 WWPA) finished the weekend 1-2, knocking off No. 19 Pacific Saturday, then losing a conference game to Cal State East bay 11-7. SCU will have just one game on its schedule this week, hosting Harvard Sunday at 12 noon.
"We started off the weekend strong with a win over Pacific," said Santa Clara head coach Keith Wilbur. "We had a couple tough losses to East Bay and Davis. UC Davis is a good team, they are physical and fast."
The Aggies scored five times in the first quarter en route to winning all four games in their home pool.
