Pacific Edges Santa Clara Water Polo 7-4

STOCKTON, Calif. – Santa Clara University received a 10-save performance from junior goalkeeper Stephanie Clements and Laura Espinosa induced six kick outs and a penalty shot, but Pacific was able to win on its 'Senior Day' 7-4.

Santa Clara got within 4-3 on a goal in the third, thanks to goals from sophomore Claire Eadington and freshman Ashleigh Bandimere (pictured). Both scored a pair of goals for a Bronco team that will travel to San Diego next weekend for the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) Championships.

"We played really well defensively today," said Santa Clara head coach Keith Wilbur. "We need to convert on more of our chances on offense. I think we created some good looks on offense, but didn't finish the shots."
