GCC Championships Day One Recap

SANTA CLARA, Calif.- The No. 17 Broncos have wrapped up day one of the Golden Coast Conference Championship. After battling against Azusa Pacific, the Bronco finished with the 10-8 win and have advanced to the semifinals.

The Cougars jumped out to an early lead, but with goals by Claire Eadington, Ashleigh Bandimere and two fro Kaitlin Murphy; the Broncos ended the first period with the 4-2 advantage and never looked back.

Julia Peters led the Broncos with three goals and Bandimere put in one more goal. Erin Sheridan and Elizabeth Anderson each had one goal to round out the Broncos 10 goals.

The Broncos will now play No. 2 seed Loyola Marymount on April 25 at 1:00 pm. The winner will move on the championship and the loser will play for third place.
