SANTA CLARA, Calif - The Santa Clara women's tennis team put an end to a six-match losing streak and took down UC Davis in convincing fashion by a score of 5-2.  The win puts Santa Clara at 3-6 on the season.

Head coach Ben Cabell put it concisely, "We played confidently and smart today.  Our doubles play was huge and having Delphine [Rouvillois] back makes a huge impact."

The Broncos were at full-strength with Rouvillois in the lineup, and as a team put together a strong performance to drop the Aggies to 5-10.

Santa Clara started off with a punch of their consistent doubles teams.  Nabila Farah and Daniella Silva made quick work of the No. 1 Davis duo of Kristy Jorgensen and Layla Sanders with a 6-1 score.  Chelby Cooke and Rouvillois improved to 4-0 as a pairing, knocking off Lani-Rae Green and Tiffany Pham 6-4 and putting the first point of the match on the board for the Broncos.

Rouvillois and Nabila Farah were the first two to complete their singles matches, allowing only seven games combined to their opponents Sanders and Pham.  After helping the Broncos grab the doubles point in her first match, Cooke then clinched the match for Santa Clara, putting away Green 7-5, 6-3.  Zeina El Tawil gave the Broncos their final point of the day, defeating Frederique Sleiffer 7-5, 6-1.
