Box Score SAN FRANCISCO – Santa Clara women's soccer stayed perfect in conference action with a 4-1 win at San Francisco on Saturday afternoon.
The Broncos (6-6-1, 3-0 WCC) got on the board in the 22nd minute off the foot of Farrah Walters and got a second less than two minutes later on a long shot from Keren Goor. Izzy D'Aquila added a goal late in the first half and completed her brace in the 87th. Alyssa Bourgeois had two assists with Marisa Bubnis and D'Aquila each adding one.
The Dons (5-5-3, 0-3 WCC) lone goal of the match came in the 25th on an own goal when a ball bounced off a Santa Clara defender.
NOTES
- Santa Clara outshot San Francisco 10-6 and 6-1 in shots on target.
- The Broncos drew 11 corner kicks while surrendering three.
- Marlee Nicolos made one save for Santa Clara with Kira Ybarra making two for the Dons.
- D'Aquila now has four multi-goal games in the last six matches and she has scored in five of the last six. Over the span she has scored 12 times.
- Goor became the third Bronco to score this year. The other 18 goals have been scored by D'Aquila (14) or Walters (4).
- Santa Clara is now 38-2-1 all-time vs. San Francisco.
