2023 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Men's All-Region Teams
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Santa Clara men's soccer player
Adem Hamdaoua was named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Men's All-West Region Third Team, the United Soccer Coaches announced on Tuesday.
Hamdaoua becomes the 28
th Bronco overall to be named to the United Soccer Coaches (formerly NSCAA) All-West Region team and the first since a trio of Broncos (Javier Ruiz Duran,
Oladayo Thomas and
Damani Osei) were named in 2021.
This fall, Hamdaoua led Santa Clara with 16 points on six goals and four assists while playing in 16 games. Four of his goals were game winners. The senior midfielder turned it up a notch in West Coast Conference play where he led all players in points (11) and game-winning goals (3) to help him earn the WCC Offensive Player of the Week honors twice. He also tied for first in goals (4) and tied for second in assists (3) during conference action.
He had the game-winning goals against Incarnate Word (Sept. 7) and in league play versus Portland (Oct. 6), LMU (Oct. 21) and Gonzaga (Nov. 4) to help lead Santa Clara to the conference co-championship.
The Marrakesh, Morocco native was named
All-West Coast Conference First Team last month.
