Women's Soccer Tops Davis in Exhibition

DAVIS, Calif. – Santa Clara women's soccer topped UC Davis 1-0 on Friday afternoon in the team's lone exhibition match of the 2023 season. The teams played three 35-minute periods for a total of 115 but no stats were kept.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The teams were back-and-forth most of the first period with the Broncos creating a couple chances but not converting.
  • The second period saw Santa Clara take control and create several more chances. Jordyn Crosby finally broke through around the 55th minute with the match's lone tally.
  • The third period was more of the same with the Aggies fending off the Bronco attack for most of the 35 minutes.
 
NOTABLE NUMBERS:
  • Santa Clara held a clear advantage in shots and shots on goal. Multiple shots hit the post or the crossbar or went just wide or high.
  • All 19 healthy field players saw action and three goalkeepers each played one period.
