SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara men's basketball is back on the road to start week three of WCC play, making the short drive to Stockton to take on Pacific on Thursday, Jan. 18, before returning to the Leavey Center to host Portland on Saturday. Saturday's game will be streamed live on ESPN+ and fans can also tune into Anthony Passarelli's audio only call on Sidearm Streaming. Both links can be found above.

The Broncos (12-7, 3-1) opened conference play with a perfect 3-0 start, including a massive win over No. 23 Gonzaga last Thursday, giving SCU their first win over the Zags since 2011. Unfortunately, Santa Clara was unable to continue riding that high on Saturday against Saint Mary's, falling to the Gaels 73-49.

Through four games, Adama-Alpha Bal continues to establish himself as one of the top scorers in the WCC, ranking seventh in the league with an average of 17.5 points per game. Brenton Knapper ranks second in scoring in league play with 10.0 points per game and leads the team with 5.3 rebounds per outing.

Pacific, led by third-year head coach Leonard Perry, is looking for their first WCC win of the season and sit at 6-13 overall. Thursday's meeting will be the 152nd in the schools' history with Santa Clara holding a 104-47 advantage, including a 36-25 mark in Stockton. The Broncos have won four of the last five over the Tigers, however Pacific was the victors in the last meeting - a 95-89 final in Santa Clara despite a career-best 38 points from future NBA First Round Selection Brandin Podziemski.
