Tori Powell has been named the
co-WCC Offensive Player of the Week after she had a goal and two assists as the Santa Clara women's soccer clinched a share of its 14th WCC title.

Powell scored the lone tally in the Broncos 1-1 draw at San Diego on Wednesday night to keep the team even at the top of the conference standings and in a position to lock up the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

She came up big again in the clincher Sunday against Saint Mary's. Santa Clara took down the Gaels 3-0 with Powell assisting on the second and third goals.

The Broncos head to BYU for the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The former conference rivals kickoff Friday at 6 p.m.
