SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Sydney Maccabe has been named the Golden Coast Conference's Player of the Week for Week Five. Following her thrilling buzzer-beater/game-winning shot against Concordia University Irvine, she maintained her successful performance throughout the weekend.

The sophomore nearly tripled her season statistics during the Bronco Invitational, showcasing her skills with seven goals, six steals, and three assists. Her remarkable contributions have moved her to second place on the team's leaderboard with a season total of 11 goals, while she leads with an impressive nine steals. Additionally, Maccabe boasts a remarkable .792 percentage off the sprint, going 19-5.

Santa Clara finished the weekend with a 2-2 record, falling short to Marist and Brown. Looking forward, the Broncos are set to compete at the Harvard Invitational this weekend, taking on La Salle, Wagner, Harvard, and Siena.
