STANFORD, Calif. - Santa Clara's women's water polo faced off against No. 6 Stanford (5-2) but came up short, with the Cardinals securing a 19-4 victory. Unfortunately, the Broncos concluded the Stanford Invitational unable to find a win.

Kate Rodman opened the game with the first goal, quickly answered by Stanford, who scored four goals in response. The second period concluded with the Broncos trailing 7-2, and Megan Chambliss notched her first goal of the weekend.

Stanford extended their lead in the third period by scoring eight goals, while the Broncos managed to add just one to their tally from Chloe Morrison. Putting the score to 3-15.Â

In the last minute of play, Elle Fredrickson found the net, contributing to the Broncos' final score of 19-4.

Liyara Senadheera started in goal and secured nine saves. Midway through the match, Haley Tassell joined in, making three saves of her own.Â
