SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Pierre Lieutaud delivered the 3-all match clincher for Saint Mary's who overcame a 3-1 deficit to edge No. 58 Santa Clara men's tennis 4-3 on Sunday inside the Degheri Tennis Center. 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Lieutaud defeated Arjun Honnappa 6-1, 6-7 (3-7), 7-5 on court six to clinch the victory for Saint Mary's (7-11, 2-3 WCC).
• After dropping the doubles point, Santa Clara (15-6, 2-4 WCC) responded with three consecutive singles victories.
• Playing on court two, Guillaume Dalmasso took down Diego Jarry 6-4, 6-4 to even things on the team scoreboard at 1-all. 
• No. 103-ranked Christian Lerby defeated Carlos Membrives 6-3, 6-4 atop the lineup to put the Broncos up 2-1.
• SCU made it 3-1 when Lukas Maskow handled Thibaud Maxant 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) on court four.
• The next three matches all went to three sets with a Gael player coming up on top in each of them. 
• Mathis Moysan closed the gap to 3-2 with his 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 victory over Sebastian Buxman on court three.
• The match was leveled by Paulo Hugo Etchecoin on court five over Alexander W Eriksson 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 before Lieutaud's clincher.
• Prior to the match, five Bronco seniors - Sebastian Buxman, Guillaume Dalmasso, Arjun Honnappa, Christian Lerby and Matthew Rodriguez - were recognized in their final home match.

• Santa Clara head to the Pacific Northwest to play Portland on Friday and Gonzaga on Sunday to close out the regular season.
