BREMERTON, Wash. - Santa Clara women's golf wrapped up play at the 2024 WCC Women's Golf Championships on a high note with a 6-over 294 final round, their best round of the event and second-best round of the day among the field, to finish the event in third at 32-over 306-296-294--896.
Meva Schmit had the best individual finish for the Broncos with a tie for seventh at 7-over 76-73-74--223.
Pepperdine won the team title at 15-over 879 while the Waves' Lauren Gomez captured individual medalist honors at 3-under 213.
ROUND HIGHLIGHTS:
- Schmit was 2-over 74 in the final round with three birdies to clinch the three-way tie for seventh.
- Audrey Brust finished right behind Schmit at 8-over 76-75-73--224 to finish in sole possession of 10th place. She had her best individual round on Sunday with a 1-over 73 that featured four birdies.
- Brust finished the season with a team-high five top-20 finishes.
- Inara Sharma (77-74-74--225) finished right behind Brust in 11th at 9-over while Kelsey Kim also shot a 1-over 73 to climb three spots into a tie for 12th at 11-over 77-77-73--227. She rolled in a team-high five birdie putts on the day.
- Patricia Garre Munoz finished 15th to round out the Bronco contingent at 16-over 232.
