Women's Basketball Signs Two to NLIs

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's basketball has signed two players to National Letter of Intent. New head coach Loree Payne and her staff will welcome Brooke Blachly and Quinsey Bryan to the Broncos next season.
 
"We are thrilled to welcome Brooke and Quinsey to our Bronco family," Payne said. "Both players are exceptional talents on the court, but even more importantly, they are high-character individuals who embody the values of Santa Clara and our women's basketball program. They bring versatility, elite scoring ability, and a perfect fit for our up-tempo style of play. We can't wait to welcome them to campus."
 
Brooke Blachly | 5-8 | G | Everett, Wash. | Archbishop Murphy HS
 
Blachly was a four-year starter and two-time captain at Archbishop Murphy where she has scored 1,433 career points and averages 20 ppg, 5 rpg, 3 apg, and 2 spg. Blachly was named Wesco MVP in 2025 and Second Team All-State. She was named All-Wesco in 2023, 2024, and 2025. Sports Illustrated Scorebook Live ranked her the No. 1 Prep Hoops combo guard in Washington and the No. 6 overall prospect.
 
She also played for the AAU 17U Washington Premier and averaged 16 ppg, FOH Stuckey 17U and averaged 12 ppg, and Team Stuck 15U and averaged 15 ppg.
 
In the classroom, Blachly was a member of the National Honors Society and a member of Deca, Sports Med, Link Crew, Ambassador, and was the Coloring Club president.
 
Outside of basketball, she enjoys baking and cooking, concerts, and hanging out with her friends.
 
Blachly's brother Luke has played two years of basketball at Cornell College.
 
Quinsey Bryan | 5-9 | G | Ladera Ranch, Calif. | San Clemente HS
 
Bryan was a four-year starter during her high school career at San Clemente High School and then Crean Lutheran High School. She was a captain for one season at each school. During her time at San Clemente, Bryan averaged 9.3 ppg, 5.0 rgp, and 3.8 apg. She was named First Team All-League in 2025 and First Team All-Empire League in 2023 and 2024. Bryan was also on the All-Orange County Nikkei Team in 2023 and 2024.
 
She also played two years with the Sports Academy Swish and four years with California Storm.
 
In the classroom, Bryan won the 2024-25 San Clemente Scholar-Athlete Award after taking home that same award during the 2022-023 and 2023-24 seasons at Crean Lutheran. She was also the 2024 Crean Lutheran High School Distinguished Scholar and that year was named to the California Scholarship Federation.
 
Bryan's hobbies outside basketball include archery and American Sign Language.
 
Her mother Ashlee played basketball at UC San Diego.
