Ethan Martinez.
Three times this fall, Ozburn was named WCC Defensive Player of the Week. The senior from Sammamish, Washington recorded shutouts against then-No. 11 San Diego and then-No. 5 Portland including a penalty kick save and finished tied for third in the league with seven shutouts. He started league play with three straight shutouts and had a streak of 318 shutout minutes, closing the year with a 1.08 goals-against-average, .738 save percentage and a 6-5-5 record.
Wiersdorf started in all 18 games and finished tied for 10
th in the WCC with six goals. Four of those came in conference play including a brace and the game-winner against Pacific in the season finale. In total he had a hand in three game winners (two goals and an assist). The Danville, California native tallied three assists on the year while logging the second most minutes on the team with 1,574.
Arenas started in all 14 games he appeared in and played 1,174 minutes. The 6-foot-3 freshman central defender from San José, Santa Ana, Costa Rica brought a physical presence to the position and assisted in two goals.
Berkovitz led the team with 16 points on six goals and four assists. Three of the goals were game winners including against Portland that snapped their 23-game unbeaten streak. The junior from Hod Hasharon, Israel had three multi-point games including a pair of games where he scored a brace and had a three assist game.
Martinez led the team with 1,602 minutes starting in all 18 games. The freshman from San Jose, California played the full 90 minutes in all but two games and recorded four assists.
For Wiersdorf, it was his second consecutive All-WCC Second Team honor and for the rest, their first all-conference recognition.
Conference champion San Diego won three of the six major awards including Ethan Warne for the Defensive Player of the Year and Lucca Adams as the Goalkeeper of the Year. Brian Quinn repeated as the Coach of the Year. Oregon State's Arnau Farnos took home the Offensive Player of the Year honors, a year after being named the Midfielder of the Year which went to Diego Rosas this season. San Francisco's Ben Norris was named the Freshman of the Year.
The all-conference teams and award winners were voted on by the conference's 10 head coaches with selection based on the outstanding athletic achievement in overall and league competition. The WCC All-Conference First Team are comprised by positions. Specific position designations do not apply to the All-Conference Second Team or honorable mention honors.
