CORVALLIS, Ore. – The West Coast Conference's leading scorer Arnau Farnos added a pair of goals to his total and Iker Carbonell also scored a brace to lead No. 15 Oregon State past Santa Clara 6-0 on Sunday afternoon at Paul Lorenz Field.  Oregon State (9-3-2, 5-0-2 WCC) remained atop the league standings with 17 points, one ahead of San Diego.  The Broncos looked to carry the momentum from last weekend's upset of then-No. 5 ranked Portland but were dominated by Oregon State from the get go.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
	- Oregon State (9-3-2, 5-0-2 WCC) entered the game with consecutive five-goal games and showcased their offensive fire power early and often.  Starting with Andrew De Gannes' shot in the fifth minute that hit the cross bar, the Beavers got off 14 shots in the first half with six of those on frame.

	- Farnos opened the scoring in the 17th minute with his 12th goal of the season on assists by Fran Cortijo and Lucas Fernandez-Kim.

	- The Beavers doubled the lead to 2-0 on Farnos' penalty kick at the 35th minute mark.  They were awarded a PK when Cortijo was fouled in the box by goalkeeper Jackson Ozburn when he looked to cut back for a shot before getting tripped up.

	- Trailing 2-0 at the intermission, Santa Clara (5-5-6, 2-3-2 WCC) came out of the half attacking, recording their first two shots on frame.  However, Oregon State pushed their lead out to three on an unassisted goal by Iker Carbonell in the 63rd minute beating Carter Tseu who came in to replace Ozburn to start the half.  It was the start of scoring three goals in a seven minute stretch with tallies by Tate Richards and another by Carbonell that followed.

	- Diego Rodriguez scored the last goal for the final margin.

NOTABLE NUMBERS / GAME NOTES:
	- Santa Clara trails the series 1-3-1.

	- Oregon State outshot Santa Clara 22-7 including 10-3 on frame.

 POST-GAME COMMENTS:
Head Coach Cam Rast's thoughts on the game:
"You go and beat a ranked Portland team last weekend and people take notice that we can play tough and in big games.  The issue for us today was that Oregon State came out super motivated and got after us.  They just suffocated us with pressure and created chances.  They were really good today.  To be fair on that side, they came out with desire that we didn't.  We took a goal and couldn't seem to create enough attack to keep them on their heels at all.  At the half, we made a bunch of adjustments and created some chances but overall we didn't bring it and weren't good enough.  It leaves us with questions on how to prepare better to play in a big game after big game and we have to be better with that."
