SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara women's basketball plays its first road game of the year Thursday at at Stanford. Tipoff between the Broncos and the Cardinal is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN+.

Santa Clara won it's season opener and the first game under new head coach Loree Payne 108-52 over Stanislaus State Monday night. Santa Clara shot 44.7-percent (38-of-85) from the floor and was at 34.9-percent (15-of-43) from beyond the arc. The only blemish was a 17-of-30 mark from the free throw line. Kylee Fox led the way with 18 points of 7-of-12 shooting and 4-of-5 from downtown while adding seven rebounds and four assists. Ashley Hawkins scored 16 and grabbed eight boars with six assists while Maia Jones (14 points), Sophie Glancey (11 points), and Kate Schat (11 points) were also in double figures. Tyler Gilder-Sleeve Stiles had a double-double (10 points/11 rebounds) with Delainey Miller scoring eight with 11 boards as well. Sienna Greiger added eight points also.

Santa Clara welcomes 13 new players to the roster this season while bringing back just two under Payne who joins the Broncos after eight years leading Northern Arizona.
