LOGAN, Utah – Santa Clara women's tennis led 3-1 over Utah State on the road but could not close it out and fell 4-3 on Saturday.   

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

• Kylee Sperry won the 3-all clincher over Juliette Krumholz 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 to lift Utah State (2-3) to a victory.  
• Santa Clara (5-2) dropped the doubles point but took the first three singles matches to lead 3-1.  However, Utah State (2-3) rallied to win the last three singles matches including the clincher by Sperry.  
• Daniella Dimitrova, Velizara Fileva and Jillian Roa each won their singles matches for the Broncos. 
• Fileva and Roa remained undefeated in singles play during the dual season, winning their seventh and sixth straight matches, respectively.  Including the fall, Fileva has won eight in a row.   

• The Broncos faces Weber State on Sunday.
