Women's Tennis Victorious on the Road at Weber State

OGDEN, Utah – The Santa Clara women's tennis team easily handled a short-handed Weber State squad 6-1 on the road matching last season's win total of six.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Jillian Roa secured the Santa Clara victory by defeating Savannah Johnson 6-2, 6-2 on court four to help Santa Clara improve to a 6-2 record.
  • The Broncos, led by second year head coach Allie Will-Van Alstyne matched last year's win total when they went 6-12, a year after going winless in the 2023 dual season.
  • Roa remained undefeated in singles play during the spring season, winning her seventh straight match.
  • Only five players were available for Weber State (0-9).  As a result, Santa Clara picked up automatic wins on doubles court three and singles court six.
  • Daniella Dimitrova and Tian Yu Dong each won their doubles and singles matches.
