SANTA CLARA, Calif. – New Santa Clara women's basketball head coach Loree Payne has brought on Martin Jensen as the program's Director of Operations. Jensen was at Northern Arizona with Payne during the 2024-25 season as a graduate assistant.
 
Prior to joining the Lumberjacks, Jensen was a student manager with the CSU San Marcos women's basketball team beginning in 2021. After two seasons with the Cougars, he was elevated to assistant coach. He helped the program reach the Division II Elite Eight Semifinals after being crowned the California Collegiate Athletics Association Regular Season champions and winning the Division II West Regional during the 2023-24 Campaign.
 
Jensen got his start at Three Peaks Performance High School where he was the girls' basketball coach and a player development trainer from 2017-19 and again from 2020-21. He also worked as a volleyball student manager at CSUSM from 2019-20.
 
He graduated from CSUSM in 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in Communication and is currently working towards his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership.
