NORMAN, Okla. - Santa Clara men's golf has earned a 2024-25 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award for their work in the classroom, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Tuesday. 

All men's golf programs who secured team GPAs of 3.0 or better have been listed as Platform Golf Team Academic Award recipients. The GCAA honors collegiate programs who have a secured team GPA over 3.0 and 3.5. The Broncos received the award after finishing the academic year with a 3.292 GPA. 

Santa Clara was one of 92 NCAA D1 programs to earn "All-Academic Team" honors this season. They previously saw three individual golfers - J.P. Odland, Calder Overfelt and Alvaro Muller - earn Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors earlier in the summer.

The Broncos are coming off one of the most successful seasons in recent history in 2024-25, where they shattered the program's team scoring record en route to qualifying for an NCAA Regional for just the third time.
