Box Score IRVINE, Calif. – Santa Clara women's soccer won its third match in a row with a 1-0 victory at UC Irvine on Thursday evening. The Broncos (4-3) got off plenty of shots throughout the match but couldn't break through until late in the second half and were able to keep the Anteaters (2-2-4) from finding the equalizer.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• In the 74th minute, Leah O'Brien finally got one in on a shot from 12 yards out that was by the diving keeper and inside the right post. Addie Whitehouse and Kennedy Schoennauer assisted on the goal.

 
NOTABLE NUMBERS:

• Santa Clara finished the game with a 16-6 advantage in shots and a 5-0 edge in shot on goal.
• The Broncos also drew five corner kicks while surrendering three.
• Amaris Franco started in net for Santa Clara while Ally Reynolds played the second half. Neither had to make a save with both facing three shots.
• Laurynn Ziller finished the night with four saves for the Anteaters.
