SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's basketball added another key player to their 2025-26 roster on Tuesday in the form of guard Thierry Darlan.
A 6-foot-8 prospect originally from the Central African Republic, Darlan joins the Broncos from the NBA G League where he was most recently a member of the Delaware Blue Coats. Playing alongside Santa Clara Alum Jared Brownridge, Darlan averaged 11 points, six rebounds and two assists in 29 games for the Blue Coats in 2024-25.
Darlan made his G League debut in 2023-24 as a member of NBA G League Ignite. In his lone season with the team, he played in 29 games with 10 starts where he averaged just under five points per game.
Darlan began his basketball career in Africa where he first joined the NBA Academy Africa at the age of 16. He earned invites to multiple elite camps including the Nike Hoop Summit and Basketball Without Borders, where he competed and earned camp MVP honors in 2022. He then joined Petro de Luanda of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) before deciding to pursue his professional career in the NBA G League.
Darlan joins Santa Clara with two years of eligibility remaining. He is one of eight newcomers that will be on the 2025-26 roster alongside freshmen
