SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara women's soccer alum Sally Menti has been called up to her first United States Women's Soccer Team camp, joining a long list of Broncos to represent their country at the highest level. Menti will join the US squad during its annual January Camp. They will play a pair of matches against Paraguay on January 24 and Chile on January 27.
Menti starred for the Broncos from 2020-24 where she played in 74 matches while making 68 starts. She finished her Santa Clara career with 11 goals and 24 assists.
She scored the lone tally vs. Clemson in the 2020 NCAA Tournament to get the Broncos back to the College Cup en route to the program's second National Championship. In the match title match against Florida State, Menti, then a true freshman, converted one of the team's penalty kicks to help seal the victory.
During her time as a Bronco, Menti was a two-time First Team All-West Region and First Team All-WCC selection in 2023 and 2024. She was named the 2020 WCC Freshman of the Year in addition to Freshman All-WCC and All-WCC Second Team that year. She was also named to the 2020 Top Drawer Soccer Best XI Freshman Team.
Menti currently plays in the NWSL for the Seattle Reign.
