SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Freshman mid-year enrollee Ferran Redza made a splash in his collegiate singles debut coming through with a 3-all clincher for Santa Clara men's tennis over Oregon on a sunny afternoon at the Degheri Tennis Center.  Redza who was originally not in the singles lineup was inserted in by head coach Niall Angus after the doubles play and he came through big with a straight set victory over Cameron Burton 7-6 (9-7), 7-6 (7-2) to complete the Broncos 4-3 comeback win.   

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

• Santa Clara (4-1) trailed 3-1 on the team score but took the last three singles matches to improve to 4-1 on the year.  
• Valentin Faure began the comeback on court five with a three set victory over Lachlan Robertson 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 to trim Oregon's lead to 3-2.  
• The match was leveled at 3-all when Luca Lemaitre downed Pierre Mouesca 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 shortly before Redza's clincher. 
• Oregon (6-2) took an early lead winning the doubles point and two of the first three singles matches to go up 3-1. 
• After SCU and Oregon split the first two doubles matches, Matthew Burton and Pierre Mouesca defeated Luca Bluett and John Kim for the first time this season, 7-5, to secure the doubles point. 
• Kim evened the team score picking up the first singles win, 6-2, 6-1 over M. Burton on court three.  
• Oregon regained the lead 2-1 on a win by Sam Olszakowski over Lukas Maskow 6-4, 6-3 on court four, followed by Vlad Breazu's victory past Alexander W Eriksson 6-2, 6-1 atop the lineup before the Bronocos mounted their comeback.
