PRINCETON, N.J. — The Santa Clara University women's water polo team concluded play at the Princeton Invitational Sunday, with three different players finding the back of the net in a 9-3 setback versus Villanova.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Mia Barkett, Mikayla Crowe and Chloe Rizof each scored goals for the Broncos (1-6). Crowe scored hers with a minute left in the first period, Rizof notched hers 2 1/2 minutes into the fourth, and Barkett tallied her goal midway through the final frame.
   
• Villanova (2-2) scored four goals to start the game and take a 4-0 lead. The Wildcats responded to Crowe's goal late in the first period with four more unanswered goals to go ahead 8-1. Santa Clara's defense locked down after giving up four goals in the first period, only allowing two in the second, one in the third and two in the fourth.
   
• Villanova was led by three goals each from Riley Hull and Ella Mattocks.
