Wednesday's Game versus San Jose State Moved to Schott Stadium

The Broncos' turf field will now host Wednesday's non-conference tilt versus San Jose State with wet weather in the forecast.
SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Wednesday's Santa Clara University baseball game versus crosstown rival San Jose State will now be played at the Broncos' Stephen Schott Stadium at 3 p.m. due to inclement weather in the area.

The Spartans (2-1) play their home games at Excite Ballpark, home of the San Jose Giants, the Single-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. The stadium's natural grass surface can be damaged by wet weather, so when rain hits, the Spartans often must relocate. The Broncos installed a new turf playing surface in 2023, providing greater flexibility in adverse weather conditions.

Fans can purchase tickets on SantaClaraBroncos.com. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+. All live coverage links can be found on the Broncos' schedule page.

Santa Clara is coming off a four-game series split versus Atlantic Coast Conference member California, including a 10-4 win in its home opener Monday. The Spartans traveled to Southern California on opening weekend and took two of three from Long Beach State.
