Kim and Pineda Earn All-WCC Honors

Pineda (left) and Kim (right) are the first Bronco teammates to earn All-WCC honors since Claire Choi and Borina Sutkito in 2022.
SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Santa Clara women's golfers Kelsey Kim and Alexa Pineda are among the 14 players honored by the West Coast Conference on the 2025-26 All-Conference Team. Kim was tabbed to the 10-player team while Pineda was one of four honorable mention selections.

This is the third-straight season that at least one Bronco has been honored by the league and the first time since 2022 that multiple players received recognition.

Kim, who recently became just the third player in program history to qualify for a NCAA Regional, finds herself on the all-conference team after a sensational season that saw her post the lowest scoring average in school history at 71.73 strokes per round. The Fullerton, Calif., product finished inside the top-10 in eight of 10 events played - tied for the second-most top-10 finishes in program history - and had five top-five finishes, including a pair of runner-ups. The junior has tallied 15 rounds under par to date, which ranks as the most in a single-season in program history and six more than the next closest total. Kim recently tied for seventh at the 2026 WCC Championship at 3-over 219 to help SCU tally their third-consecutive third-place finish at the event.

Pineda made a splash at the WCC Championship to garner All-WCC Honorable Mention. After opening the event 3-over 75 in the first round, the sophomore turned in back-to-back sub-par rounds of 71 and 70 to finish at even-par 216 and in sole possession of fourth place. The 54-hole total stands as the lowest-ever by a Bronco at the WCC Championship and the fourth-place finish is SCU's best by an individual since 2019. The San Carlos native is averaging 74.67 strokes over seven events this season and has six rounds under par to her credit, tied with senior Audrey Brust for second-most on the team.

Kim is set to take part in the 2026 Stanford Regional, May 11-13, at Stanford Golf Course while Pineda and teammate Chloe Lam are about to tee off at the U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball in Charleston, S.C., which will be held March 2-6.
