SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The College Sports Communicators named Santa Clara men's tennis players
Valentin Faure and
Alexander Watanabe Eriksson as Academic All-District.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District Men's Tennis teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Eligible nominees must be in the lineup for 75 percent of an institution's days of competition (regional competition such as ITAs and non-team scored events do not count) and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better.
This is the second time Watanabe Eriksson has been named as an All-District selection and the first recognition for Faure.
Faure along with other select All-District honorees are now considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot
The Strasbourg, France native has a cumulative grade point average of 3.841 to earn one of the 13 spots on the West Coast Conference All-Academic Team. The economics major posted a 15-8 overall record in doubles including 14-4 in dual matches and 21-7 overall in singles, 16-4 in dual. He tied for the team lead in overall doubles and dual match wins. Ferran Redza were named WCC Doubles Team of the Week on Feb. 24.
Faure also topped the team in overall singles wins as well as dual match singles victories and conference wins (six) to be named All-WCC singles honorable mention.
Wananabe Eriksson, a first team All-WCC singles selection and WCC All-Academic honorable mention this season, has a 3.590 GPA. The two-time Broncos captain had a 3-6 overall record in doubles including 2-0 in dual matches and 14-16 overall in singles, 8-10 in dual. The Stockholm, Sweden native primarily played atop the singles lineup going 6-9.
