SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Santa Clara men's soccer team announced its
2026 schedule featuring 16 total matches, including nine home contests.
The 16 matches are split evenly with eight nonconference and conference games each. This season, the West Coast Conference slate is back down to eight matches after playing nine last season with the departures of Oregon State and Gonzaga and the addition of Denver.
For the second straight year, the season kicks off against Cleveland State, this time at home on August 20 as part of the backend of the home-and-home series. Fordham (Aug. 23), Cal (Aug. 27) and Utah Valley (Aug. 30) follow suit as the Broncos play their first four matches at home.
With the turn of the calendar to September, Santa Clara hits the road for the first time. They head to Omaha, Nebraska to take on Loyola Chicago (Sept. 4) in a neutral site contest before facing Creighton (Sept. 7).
The final two nonconference games are at Stanford (Sept. 15) and San Diego State (Sept. 20) at home.
The WCC opener comes on the road at Seattle U (Sept. 26). The other away league games are at Pacific (Oct. 3), San Diego (Oct. 21) and Portland (Oct. 24).
The home conference games include San Francisco (Sept. 30), LMU (Oct. 10), Saint Mary's (Oct. 17) and the regular season finale against WCC newcomer Denver on Halloween night.
Santa Clara will have a bye on Nov. 6 while the rest of the league teams play out to close out the regular season.
The top four finishing teams in the conference regular season will play in the inaugural WCC Tournament. The single elimination semifinals will take place on Nov. 11 with the winner of each semifinal playing the conference title match on Nov. 14, hosted by the number one seed institution.
The conference tournament champion, and no longer the conference regular season champion will earn the automatic bid into the NCAA postseason.
SCU will play two exhibition matches, both at home, against Sacramento State (Aug. 8) and Cal State East Bay (Aug. 13).
