SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara men's basketball's quest to return to the NCAA Tournament officially begins on Nov. 2, 2026, in the first of 16 nonconference games that will be played prior to the start of West Coast Conference action. Prior to the official start of the season, SCU will take part in a pair of exhibition games, first at home against Stanford on Oct. 17 and followed by a trip to Logan, Utah to take on the Utah State Aggies on Oct. 24. Both games will be open to the public.Ā
The regular season tips off with three consecutive home games beginning with Towson on Nov. 2 followed by Milwaukee (Nov. 4) and Sacramento State (Nov. 7). The Broncos will then hit the road to take on North Texas in Denton, Texas Nov. 11 in the first of two true road nonconference games with the other coming on Dec. 5th against GCU in Phoenix.Ā
A pair of teams that made the 2026 postseason await the Broncos in the Leavey Center upon their return from the Lone Star State. Up first is a rematch against New Mexico on Nov. 14. SCU will then host fellow 2026 NCAA Tournament participant VCU on Nov. 19. The Rams posted 28 wins last season and made noise in the NCAA Tournament with a first round upset of No. 21 North Carolina before falling to No. 13 Illinois in the round of 32.Ā
Santa Clara will once again take part in the Acrisure Invitational in Palm Desert, Calif. This year's event will see the Broncos square off against Illinois State (Nov. 23) and Nevada (Nov. 24). Tickets for those games are on sale now through Ticketmaster.com.Ā
SCU will close out November by hosting Utah Tech on Nov. 28 and will then host Fresno State on Dec. 2 before hitting the road for neutral site contests against Murray State (Dec. 12), McNeese State (Dec. 14), Boise State (Dec. 21) and Oregon State (Dec. 23). They will officially close out nonconference play on Dec. 29 at home against Dominican University.Ā
