SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Santa Clara forward Mailin Orozco was named Preseason All-WCC in a vote of the league's head coaches. In addition, the Broncos were picked in a tie for second in the preseason poll, trailing Pepperdine and even with Portland.
After missing the 2024 season, Orozco returned last year and led the Broncos with six goals and 14 points while adding a pair of assists. For her work, she was named Second Team All-West Region and Second Team All-WCC.
In the coaches' poll, Santa Clara finished with 61 points, even with Portland. The Waves were picked to win the conference with 81 points.
