UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. - Santa Clara women's golf began their fall season on Monday with 36 holes of action at the 2026 Leadership and Golf Invitational. The Broncos shot 14-over 297-293--590 as a team led by newcomer Ines Izuzquiza Ruiz de Arana, a sophomore transfer from North Florida, who shot 3-over 147 to put herself in a tie for 22nd. 

ROUND HIGHLIGHTS:

• Making her Santa Clara debut, Izuzquiza Ruiz de Arana opened the day with an even par before finishing 3-over in the second round. She tallied six total birdies across the two rounds. 
• Kelsey Kim began the day 4-over par before settling in and shooting even par in the second round to finish the day 4-over 148 and tied for 30th. 
• Freshman Sehee Sim shot the low round of the day for the Broncos, turning in her first career round under par in the second round at 1-under 71. The San Diego product had just one bogey for the round and rolled in a pair of birdies. She enters the final round tied for 36th at 5-over 149. 
• Chloe Lam (74-75) is tied with Sim at 5-over par while Alexa Pineda is tied for 60th at 8-over 152. 
• The Broncos enter the final round in ninth place while Tulsa holds a one-stroke lead over Colorado for the lead at 5-under 571. 
• Oregon State's Rayo Nakoa holds the individual lead at 6-under 138.
