Was named first team all-West Coast Conference in 2024, the Broncos' first such honor in seven years ... Also earned all-WCC second team honors in 2023 ... Was a two-time WCC All-Academic honorable mention and picked up two career WCC Pitcher of the Week awards (one in 2023, another in '24) ... Pitched mainly as a reliever during his career in 56 games with eight starts on the mound ... Had 180 career strikeouts in 149 2/3 career innings pitched (10.82 career K/9 rate) ... Went 9-7 with four saves and a 4.45 career ERA

AS A JUNIOR (2024): Named first team all-WCC ... Earned WCC All-Academic honorable mention accolades ... Was named preseason all-conference by both Perfect Game and the WCC ... Landed on the NCBWA "Stopper of the Year" watch list ... Earned WCC Pitcher of the Week for the week of May 6-12 after he pitched the longest outing of his career against LMU (May 12). He tossed eight innings, allowed just one earned run and struck out seven on only three hits to help the Broncos clinch a WCC Tournament berth ... Went 3-4 with a 3.76 ERA, three saves and 83 strikeouts in 69 1/3 innings across 16 appearances (five starts) ... Those numbers were even better in conference play -- a 2-1 record with a 2.97 ERA and 42 strikeouts in 39 1/3 innings while holding opponents to a .231 batting average ... Struck out at least two in every appearance and twice tied a career high with nine Ks: versus UMBC (Feb. 23) and versus Saint Mary's (April 27) ... Had at least six strikeouts in seven appearances, including three consecutive to start the year, where he struck out 24 in 12 2/3 innings through his first three games ... Did not allow a run in five appearances. That included an 18 1/3 innings scoreless streak that spanned five outings (three shutout) from Feb. 17 to March 16 ... Only allowed one home run across his final eight appearances of the season (33 2/3 innings).

AS A SOPHOMORE (2023): Second Team All-WCC … WCC All-Academic honorable mention … WCC Pitcher of the Week (May 1) … appeared in 19 games out of the bullpen … went 6-1 … had a 2.53 ERA in 46.1 innings … 65 strikeouts against 28 walks … 1 save … struck out 7 in 5 shutout innings vs. Washington (Feb. 19) … struck out 9 in 5.2 innings vs. BYU (April 13).

AS A FRESHMAN (2022): Appeared in 21 games and made 3 starts … 8.47 ERA in 34 innings … 0-2 record … 32 strikeouts … made collegiate debut with 5 innings of relief and 3 strikeouts vs. Northwestern (Feb. 26) … punched out 4 in 4 innings in his first collegiate start at Cal Poly (March 29) … fanned 5 in 3.1 innings vs. Saint Mary’s (April 15) … struck out 4 in 1.1 innings at San Jose State (April 19) while making the start … fanned 4 in 2 innings vs. Stanford (May 17).

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2021 graduate of Holy Family High School in Broomfield, Colo. ... Captained both the baseball and basketball teams during his senior seasons ... Selected to the 2020 Perfect Game WWBA All-Tournament team where he posted a 1.70 ERA over 59 innings pitching for Slammers Baseball ... Averaged 8.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game on the hardwood during the 2018-19 season to help lead the Tigers to a Final Four appearance in the Class 4A tournament.

PERSONAL: Father, Mark Hammond, played handball at Lake Forest College in Illinois and was a National Champion in 1992, later inducted into Colorado Handball Hall of Fame in 2016 ... Enjoys golfing, listening to country music, and taking his dogs on hikes ... Volunteered with Community Food Bank and at other local events in his community.
