Limited opponents to a .224 batting average against ... Made his Santa Clara debut on Opening Day at Arizona State (Feb. 16), striking out three in two innings of work ... Never walked more than one batter in any of his six outings ... AT SACRAMENTO CITY COLLEGE: Played his first two years of college baseball at Sacramento (Calif.) City College in 2022 and 2023 ... Started 14 games in 19 career appearances for the Panthers, striking out 76 in 68 total innings ... Had a breakout sophomore year in 2023, posting a 3.38 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with 43 strikeouts in 37 1/3 innings ... Had a near-5-to-1 strikeouts-to-walks ratio as a sophomore (2023), walking only nine against his 43 Ks ... Had a season-high eight strikeouts in back-to-back appearances on Feb. 10 and Feb. 17, 2023, against Los Medanos and Fresno City colleges, respectively.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a two-way player at Roseville (Calif.) High School, graduating in 2021 ... Was named all-Capital Valley Conference as a senior in 2021 after having a breakout season on both sides of the ball. He batted .306 with three doubles and a .381 on-base percentage -- and also went 5-2 on the mound with a 1.92 ERA with 73 strikeouts ... Had a better-than 4.5-to-1 strikeouts-to-walks ratio, only walking 16 with his 73 whiffs ... Threw three complete games with two shutouts in 11 appearances (nine starts) as a pitcher ... Was ranked the 105th best right-handed pitching recruit in California by Perfect Game, and a top-400 recruit overall in the state.
