SENIOR (2020): Named West Coast Conference All-Academic ... Appeared in one game in relief ... against Sacramento State (March 1), faced left-handed batter Ryan Walstad who had twice homered in the series and got him to pop out to first in a lefty-on-lefty matchup.  
 
JUNIOR (2019): Started in five of 14 games he appeared in ... posted a 1-3 record with a 4.76 ERA ... pitched a season-high five innings and allowed two runs to pick up his first win against Washington State (Feb. 22) ... struck out a season-high five batters against Omaha (March 9) ... allowed just two earned runs in his last nine appearances spanning 7.2 innings.  
 
PRIOR TO SCU: Played the 2017-18 season at Bellevue College in Bellevue, Washington and the 2016-17 season at the University of Washington … at Bellevue College, appeared in six games, starting in five while striking out 45 batters over 34.1 innings … at Washington, posted a 2-0 record with a 0.84 ERA striking out nine batters over 10.1 innings … played prep baseball at Redmond High School in Redmond, Washington … named 2016 Rawlings-Perfect Game Honorable Mention All-American Team … named 2016 ALL-USA Today Washington Second Team … during senior season in 2016, posted a 1.11 ERA with 0.65 WHIP with 95 strikeouts in 55 innings … participated in the 2015 Area Code games with Kansas City Royals … holds the school record for the lowest career ERA with 1.75.  
 
PERSONAL: Parents are Kermit and Tracy Ecklebarger … Kermit played college hockey at Denver University and was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks … Tracy was a cheerleader for the Seattle Seahawks and the Portland Quakers … brother played football at Eastern Washington University his freshman year … enjoys writing, reading, drawing, working out and play video games in his free time.
